If you don’t get to the root, the vine will never change.

There are many newsletters that discuss current events and challenge popular ideas. Some even discuss possible reasons for various trends. This letter does that and more. The goal of this letter is to expose the deep roots and motivations for religious, social and political goals and actions.

Decades of experience as a minister, executive, teacher, and professor on three continents coupled with five earned degrees from world class institutions has given me the ability to analyze these issues.

The Letter is published and emailed every Wednesday morning, 52 a year. All previous articles will be archived on this website and available to members. Links to the downloadable PDF files of every letter are also included.

“Remember, democracy never lasts long. It soon wastes, exhausts, and murders itself. There never was a democracy yet that did not commit suicide.

Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.

There is danger from all men. The only maxim of a free government ought to be to trust no man living with power to endanger the public liberty.

But a Constitution of Government once changed from Freedom, can never be restored. Liberty, once lost, is lost forever.

Children should be educated and instructed in the principles of freedom.”

John Adams  1735 - July 4, 1826

“The last hope of human liberty in this world rests on us. We ought, for so dear a state, to sacrifice every attachment and every enmity.”

Letter To Colonel William Duane, Monticello, Virginia, March 28, 1811.

Thomas Jefferson  1743 - July 4, 1826
